December, 2010 -  My son returns from deployment and spends a month at home. And got Married !  to a wonderful young lady, Nicky. We welcome her into the family with open arms and much support ! He's such a Repetto man !

October 20, 2010 -  Football!  Trying to start something new ! I am loving the look of the airbrush and what it can do. I still get a little frustrated with the small detailing cause I want it super detailed and crisp, but I love how you can shade so easy.  With the help of Performance Body and Paint in Temple, Rich and Kevin, I am doing some work and learning alot. I finished a helmet for the high school and I am doing lots of samples so I can get some paying airbrush work. I am looking forward to it, so I am practicing painting skulls , fire and eagle for some samples. My airbrush will come under the title of RSCustoms  -Now to look for places to put my samples !

October 16, 2010- Carnival at Midvale Elementary School, Tucker Georgia  I was able to perform  Caricatures as a vendor at the Fall Carnival thanks to my sister, Jill, secretary at the school. Although I wasn't able to begin caricatures at Six Flags this summer, it gave me so much I can use and do caricatures for fun and a little work on the side. This was my first opportunity to try out my skills. My caricatures look more like a cartoon portrait. Someday I will be able to push the limit a little more and really have fun. but for now, I'm good !

September 2010 - Taking a long time to finish at Providence but the final product is finally finished. The Museum wall in the cafeteria came out nicely. And  I was able to use my airbrush on a jobsite for rendering clouds in Stockbridge area. Definitely a different look than the paintbrush. I am so used to doing clouds and panting using a brush getting used to the airbrush and being able to incorporate it into my artwork will take some practice. I wasn't expecting such a dark blue sky but the airbrush helped alot. I tried not to make it look like a storm.

August 2010 - Schools in session ! And the only reason I know that , since all my children has graduated is because I am still working at the schools. Finishing up at Madras feels really good to get finished with only a few days of schools in session. I was able to finish the gym in a few days. Now I am painting at Providence elementary in Temple. It's close to home but I have to wait for the school day to end because of the toxicity of the paint fumes. It makes this job last longer than should but it's looking just like I planned so far. The tiger and her cubs mural i believe is going to be the cover of the yearbook for this year. Nice ! It turned out really nice.

On other topic, my son bought a motorcycle via the internet. A small 250 but with it comes the opportunity to paint his helmet using my airbrush. Need to use it more often and this is the perfect opportunity.

July 2010 - More school work. Now in Coweta County at Madras Middle. It's huge and good exercise and still hot ! Thx to the custodial staff- so nice ! A big job with lots of RED and with my husbands help I would never have finished on time. He is now the king of stripes!  So much work in three weeks and in between , I did a few faux finishes for some local clients.

June 2010 - Wow, this summer has started off strong. Schools are a great source for summer work because of repairs and remodel while children are away. And this summer is no exception. Because my calendar is full of schools to complete before the new school year, I am unable to begin working on caricatures at Six Flags. I was looking forward to it and nervous at the same time,. but it's good to work that will pay bills!  I start with Villa Rica Elementary with their principal, Charles Johnson. Together we came up with a new look for the cafeteria and atrium area from where the busses are loaded and unloaded. Definitely transforming for the school. My only wish is for air conditioning during the summer months in the hallways. Had to continually override the units in the rooms and this summer seems to be a hot one !

I also helped bring their mascot " Willie the Wildcat". From flat to 3d fun.

May 2010 - In April we celebrated out grandson's first birthday. the year has gone by so fast. We celebrated with a small family party but we sure had fun decorating and making  big circus tent out of the dining room. It was also our first attempt at making a  specialty cake with fondant decoration and a special 1st birthday cake to match. How cute it was ! Nolan loves Elmo !

Our son is deployed in Afghanistan with the 173rd Airborne Infantry, 2-503rd Brigade. He came home for his mid-deployment leave. So good to see him and spend time with him in between his visiting all his friends and family in Atlanta. His deployment ends at the end of the year and not too soon. Very proud parents !

April 5, 2010 - With so much over the winter, spring brings new adventures for sure. I have decided to broaden my horizons and learn caricatures. With this, I am hoping that it will help me in my portraits but also get to be out and meet lots of people. The company that I will be training with is call Fasen Arts based out of Orlando Florida. Truly talented people and I am learning alot. Especially to stop and look and enjoy people's personality, not like I haven't before, but through their faces!   I really like their point of view and their professionalism. So let me send out a shout out to them. Go visit their website www.fasenarts.com . They have booths all over America.  Thanks Tony, Brent, and Steve !

January 12, 2010 - Welcome to the new site for the new year. I've thought for a long time that I would love to focus on canvas paintings and such, but never really had the time. Because of the past year, I have been able to begin exhibiting and really love the detail I can put into my work. I haven't been able to really take the time to detail as much as would like in my murals because of the time and cost restraints, but on canvas I can. I also have loved beginning to paint horses. They are really expressive; more than you would think. And because I have horses now, I see their personality and how every horse is different. Like humans, they have their good days and their bad and they really are social beings and loved to be loved and interacted with. Here are our horses : Remington ( Remi), Trigger, and Browning.

Well, because of them I have a greater understanding of the Equine World and new appreciation for Equine Art. So I have included them in some of my artwork.

I also enjoyed being a part of  The Fall Annual Event, "THE FIRST ANNUAL ATLANTA POLO CLASSIC," will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Chukkar Farms and the Scuppernong Polo Club in Alpharetta, Georgia. It was a lot of fun for my first show and I had many great compliments and met new artists in the exhibition world. A whole new aspect for a  professional artist !

The following weeks , my artwork was exhibited at the "Polo for Parkinsons" by Wilkins Media Charity for Team Fox - an All Star Member Charity Polo Event, October 11, 2009, and the "Beauty Becomes You"- perfume launch, sponsored by Mrs. Roy Orbison, October 18.
